Sabine Christiaens has 20 years of experience of transacting in renewable energy projects. She started her experience in the renewable energy sector 20 years ago as a Business Development Manager in Abengoa, Seville where she was responsible for the development of the Cogeneration and Biomass department worldwide.
From 2003 – 2006 Sabine successfully managed and closed turnkey EPC and O&M contracts for more than 200 MW of wind power projects in Spain for EDP.
From 2007 she worked as an International Contract Manager Solar Energy for Ecostream International (Econcern) and was responsible for the contract management of PV solar plants in Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Belgium and Greece.
Since 2009 she has started up VERD Q.I. and has been working for different clients on important solar and wind projects all over the world. Amongst her clients are import stakeholders in the market, like Scatec Solar, Norfund, IPS Kenya, Akuo Energy and many more.
Besides managing the company Sabine is mainly specialised in negotiating EPC contracts, claim and risk management of the development, construction and operation and maintenance of renewable energy projects. Further more she actively manages the matchmaking between developers and investors of different renewable assets worldwide. She is fluent in English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch and Arabic.
Through the different years of experience Sabine Christiaens has been able to consolidate her network of trustworthy business partners to ensure high quality work towards its clients.
